Optical Cable and Conductor Tension Clamp/Strain Clamp/ Dead-end Clamp

Review

Description

Tension clamps are devices used to secure conductors, withstand conductor tension, and suspend conductors on tension string assemblies or pole towers. They are primarily used to anchor and fix conductors or lightning protection wires on non-straight-line pole towers with tension insulator strings. They also serve as anchor points for tension towers' stay wires.

They can be classified by their purpose into optical cable tension clamps and conductor tension clamps. Optical cable tension clamps include ADSS optical cable low-tension wedge tension clamp, ADSS optical cable low-tension tension clamp, ADSS optical cable medium and high-tension tension clamp, OPGW optical cable tension clamp, and OPGW optical cable double tension clamp.

Conductor tension clamps include pre-twisted conductor tension clamps (for steel-core aluminum stranded wire, aluminum stranded wire, and insulated conductors), pre-twisted ground wire tension clamps (for steel stranded wire and aluminum-clad steel stranded wire), and pre-twisted stay wire tension clamps (for steel-stranded wire).

They can also be classified by their structure and installation method into compression-type tension clamps and bolt-type tension clamps.
